Information a partner organization gives us about you
Bridani gives veterans’ organizations, CareerLink offices and similar partners a supply of single-use keys, each of which one person can redeem for a sponsored Bridani account. When a member of that organization’s staff issues a key, they record the recipient’s first and last name — so they know who they handed it to and can follow up if it is never used. That is the only thing they record about the recipient: no email address, no phone number, no address, and no document of any kind.
You may be named here before you have ever visited Bridani. If a caseworker hands you a key, your name sits against it from that moment, whether or not you go on to use it. It is visible to the staff of the issuing organization and to us; it is not visible to other partners, to other Bridani users, or to anyone else.
How long we keep it. Only while the key is outstanding. The name is cleared the moment the key is claimed or reclaimed — the same instant, in the same write, not by a later cleanup — because at that point it has served the only purpose it was collected for. If you want it removed sooner, ask the organization that issued your key to reclaim it, or write to us at the address in the Contact section.
Information from the Bridani Browser Extension
The Bridani browser extension is optional. It does nothing until you click it on a job posting, and when you do, it sends only what is needed to save that posting and, if you ask, to score how your résumé fits it:
- The job posting’s URL and its visible text — title, company, description, and any salary or date facts on the page — so we can save the posting to your board.
- For fit-scoring or cover-letter drafting, the id of the résumé you select — not résumé contents scraped from the page — sent to the Bridani API, where the AI processing described in Section 5 (server-side, via xAI) takes place.
The extension never submits an application formand never transmits the values it fills in: autofill writes into the page you are looking at and stops there. It communicates only with Bridani’s own servers and with Clerk for sign-in, and sends nothing directly to any other third party.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for:
- Creating and maintaining your account
- Providing and improving our services
- Processing payments and transactions
- Sending service-related announcements and updates
- Responding to your inquiries and support requests
- Analyzing usage patterns and improving user experience
- Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud or security issues
- Complying with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in these cases:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payments, authentication)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
- Business Transfers: In the event of merger, acquisition, or asset sale
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your data
5. AI Processing of Your Content
Where your words go. Many features only work by sending your content to an AI provider — among them: parsing an uploaded résumé, translating a military record into civilian language, drafting a cover letter, analyzing your fit against a job description, the practice interviewer, the chatbot on your public résumé, and the help you get when you write a support ticket or post in the community. We currently use xAI for all of it, and your content leaves our servers to reach them.
What we send, and what we don’t. Only what the feature needs to do its job — the résumé text, the job description, the question that was asked. We do not send your email address, your billing details, or your account identifier along with it.
We do not train on your content. We do not use what you write to train any model, ours or anyone else’s, and we do not permit our provider to. If that ever changes, we will say so here first — before it happens, not after.
Every AI feature is one you choose to use. The parts of Bridani that make it worth keeping — your hosted résumé, read receipts, the opportunity tracker, and the quarterly report — all work without sending anything to an AI provider at all.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, remember your preferences, and analyze site usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion or erasure of your data
- Restriction of data processing
- Data portability
- Withdrawal of consent
- Opt-out of marketing communications
To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided in the Contact section.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
You can download or permanently delete everything we hold, yourself, at any time, from Account → Your data. No email, no waiting on us.
What deletion actually deletes. Your résumé and every revision, work history, education, skills, projects, awards, memberships, opportunities, quarterly achievements, interview answers, reference notes, schedule and appointments, community posts and comments, analytics we recorded about your use of the site, and your hosted résumé site — its public links stop working immediately, not eventually. Your login is deleted last, once all of the above is gone.
What we keep, and why. Purchases, orders and invoices. We are required to keep financial records, so we do — and we would rather tell you that here than have you discover it. They are included in your data export, so you always have a copy. Nothing in them is used for anything once your account is gone.
The one thing we hold on to: your résumé address. When you delete your account, the address your résumé lived at — resume.bridani.com/YourName— is retired permanently, and we keep a single row recording that the address is taken. That row contains the address, the word “retired”, and the date. It does not contain your name, your email, your account id, or anything else that could identify you. It cannot be joined back to you, because there is nothing in it to join.
We do this because a résumé link outlives the job search. It sits on applications you sent months ago, in recruiter inboxes, in a hiring manager’s bookmarks. If we handed that address to the next person who wanted it, a recruiter could open your old application and read a stranger’s résumé believing it was yours. So nobody is ever served under your name again — and the record that guarantees it knows nothing about who you were. It also means that if you come back, you cannot reclaim the address, because we have no way to prove it was yours.
If you have an active subscription, we will refuse to delete your account until you cancel it. We are not going to delete an account we are still charging, and we are not going to cancel your subscription behind your back either — that is your decision to make and to see.
10. Children’s Privacy
Bridani is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your home country. By using Bridani, you consent to such transfers.
13. CCPA and GDPR Compliance
California Residents (CCPA): You have specific rights regarding your personal information. For more details, please contact us.
EU Residents (GDPR): We comply with GDPR requirements for data protection, including lawful basis for processing and your rights as a data subject.
